Rattan, Willow & Straw

The beauty of natural weaving

Woven from plant fibres, these materials turn simple,
functional objects into pieces defined by texture,
craftsmanship and natural variation. From rattan's
open weave to willow's flexible branches and
straw's fine fibres, each brings a distinct
character to everyday living.

A rich history

Rattan, willow and straw have been woven into baskets, furniture and household tools for centuries. Their use reflects regional materials and weaving traditions passed down through generations.

Beautifully aging

Natural fibres may mellow in colour and develop a softer, lived-in appearance with use. Keep woven pieces dry and away from prolonged direct sunlight to help prevent brittleness and fading.

Care

Dust with a soft brush or cloth, following the weave. Wipe marks with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid soaking, as excess moisture can cause mould or distort the fibres.

Why we chose it

We chose woven plant fibres for their texture, lightness and practical versatility. Each weave creates its own pattern of light and shadow, adding detail without relying on colour or decoration.
